If USE=debug *is* set tests cannot presently succeed because of excessive output in all 4 tests in regression/lib-processing/. Just print a warning and skip the tests altogether. At present two of them ("empty" and "resume", both in regression/misc/) fail, however it is only because of excessive output from the executable so it should be easy to fix.
